What he means is that to any true s30 fan the 240z (one piece) tails are far more desirable than the 260z, and 280z (2 piece).... And if what you're saying is true then someone went through some very unessesary and extensive work to swap tails from the 240z's to the 260/280z tails, which is very and highly doubtful.
