I think you paid WAY too much, unless the wheels were really bent that badly. I saw that FS thread for those ssrs, and they didnt mention them being bent. About the lip being anodized, I think that is BS. When I think anodized I think of a wheel like a Advan SA3R, not a polished lip on an SSR wheel.
