Nor Cal has always sorta been a haven for crappy modified cars. Ideas aren't as good. The knowledge base of doing good modifications has to long of a life line to reach the good stuff. People are spread out to far. It has never been a good situation. People have just never been able to actually get anything done in Nor Cal. Ghetto rigging is like first nature up this way. But also we have this slew of young kids that seem to be able to afford these cars and really have no idea the first thing to do with them except that they want to drift. So they learn how to change the suspension and become pros with a lug wrench and that means they are now seasoned SR20 guru's. When really they can't even properly maintain a KA engine or have the first clue how to check the voltage on the TPS to make sure the engine is even running properly. I bet 90% of these kids don't even know the proper oil to put in an sr20, and the reason why it is proper.

Once the sr20 became main stream, we started seeing junk like this pop up. As soon as it became available for any young kid to be able to afford a car like this, it was bound to happen.

I happen to have seen this car get built, and it was done nicely. Proper swap and everything. I was sorta sad to see it go, cuz it was like a good clean example of a proper stock sr20 swap. Am I surprised as to what happened to it? Nope. Do I blame the owner? Not really, it isn't his fault. It is unfortunate he will learn the hard way on such a good engine/chassis. And hopefully it is a positive outcome.

But come on man, what is with painting the rubber hoses?
