This is a solid state battery kill switch. Good up to 300 amps, no moving parts, ultra reliable. Basically you can mount this anywhere that's convenient, then pick any button and mount it where you want it. I had 4 battery kill switches die and when that happens your car dies. This has been a good upgrade for reliability and I recommend it. I got mine on Waytek for $150.
