I never felt so. 16's are a great compromise between 15 and 17, where you can still get something relatively wide enough like a 245. I dont recall too many wide tire options for 15 unless you start talking R compound.

I agree. But on a stock body S13, 245 is about as wide as you can go before you start hitting things or doing dumb shit like super negative camber.

Thats because "kid" still needs to learn how to use a tire size calculator. You know, learning how to use EXCEL, inputting tire size data off of tire rack, thats all very heavy for someone who's 16 and ready to hit the track. :-)
