12psi is stock on redtop/blacktop motors with the JDM wastegate solenoid hooked up... the factory wastegate on the turbo is set to 7psi via the internal spring. the motor tapers back to 7psi in higher RPMs using vacuum via the wastegate solenoid... but seeing as NO ONE has one in their car anymore, just get boost controller, set it to 12psi, run 91 octane and youll be fine. i ran 12psi on my factory T25 for the better part of 2-3 years, it FINALLY developed a water seal leak and would smoke at idle on occasion. went to an S14 T28 and never went back. im currently running an S15 SpecR turbo on my blacktop and it maxes out the injectors at 12psi, but its a much larger turbo.
one suggestion, buy an S15 turbo... it will make a HUGE difference. its like a monster next to the T25 and you can push roughly 300whp (depending on what type of dyno youre on) with it and a power FC on E85
