To everyone in this thread...
When I said I was planning on boosting it until it blows, never said my plan was to use a junkyard set up. This thread is simply about if I went with something budget for now just to get a little fun out of it until I have money for real shit. For everyone who says save your money... that’s why with this whole idea, I’d be going to a junkyard and getting shit for dirt cheap. *****Just for now****** until I have the funds to actually start up a real build. Yeah I have the money, but no I’m not going crazy with motor shit for a while. I’m finishing up my 5speed swap, throwing in my VLSD, getting a quality exhaust system Bc I can’t stand the raspy ness of my eBay set up, then I’m gonna either paint it or wrap it, haven’t decided yet, then after that’s all said and done, then I’ll be worried about starting to put money into the motor. I’m not trying to make a drift missile out of it and definitely not a daily driver. More like a car I’ll take out on the weekends, or during the week when I feel like, go mess around, pull up to a car meet or two. Nothing crazy. So I wouldn’t dump a shit ton of money into the single jingle in the first place when I could pick up a dual cam for relatively cheap, and build that thing up on the side then eventually swap the two. Unless I decide to go a different route and do a real decent swap. But I’ll worry about that when the time comes. Long story short, I don’t plan on dumping any serious money into the single jingle which is the whole purpose of this thread in the first place, to just see what there is to slap together just to add a little fun. If this was the motor I planned on keeping, then that would be a different story. I’d either be going craigslist, eBay, or junkyard parts to boost my single jingle in the time it’ll be in the car. Once I do a swap, then I’m going all out on quality shit only.
