I am upgrading my rear end from stock S13 to Q45 for my LS2 swap to get the extra strength, LSD, and more LS-friendly 3.54:1 final drive. This, of course, requires an upgrade to the five lug Q45 rear hubs. But do I NEED to use Q45 rear brakes? I would rather not deal with the banksia parking brake setup if I don’t have to. Can I just get five lug S14 rear rotors, and use those with the Q45 hubs and stock S13 rear calipers?
