hell, i remember S15 Spec-Rs going for $10k to $12k... now, good luck finding one in Japan for under $25k due to becoming desired, especially for export.

i dont think people generally pay attention to production numbers in this regard, i think what it comes down to, is that (IMO) the only good looking zenki are Navan zenkis. And i think people often times compare base model zenkis to koukis, which just isnt fair IMO
