auto and manual ECU's are only a concern for s14's OBD2..... with s13's... the ECU doesnt matter you can use any of them.. just as long as its sohc engine with sohc ecu and same with dohc...you will throw a code if you dont wire the tranny correctly but thats it.......
if you have a OBD1 s14 i bet you can get away with using a auto ecu with a manual....... but take your chance with that one..
