400rwhp.....?
top mount is for big turbos. if u use anything bigger than a t3 centersection on a low mount, the position of turbo ends up very close to oil return bung on motor, then u dont get adaquate oil drainage. not to mention snaking the intake piping past the powersteering is a b@tch.

i am running a t3/t4 with about 63a/r housings. compressor side fits with 1 finger space between motor and snail, oil return line is barely an 1 1/2" above bung. 400rwhp is alot out of an sr, thats pretty dyno queen in my opinion, which leaves u running something big, which will in my opinion necessitate top mount to fit.

and yes cheap ones crack. at 400 horse, u will be running pretty crazy boost, with retarded timing, that leaves u with high egt's and cheap ones crack when u turn them into cherry pipes. ive never seen above 370rwhp without high egt's and some crazy boost/retarded timing. but then again, hawaii is small and noone does dyno queens/quartermilers.
