ok guys having owned several Hicas cars, I can say that usually all Hicas have ABS if it does not then it was a option delete car. Just like a 89-90 SE no sunroof no spoiler and a 92 SE no sunroof.
Hatchbacks had the ABS option on all model years. The VLSD was a option after 10/91 again it was a order it basis option. The only Model it came on automatically was the Hicas cars.
To the original poster don't worry about getting a Hicas car they are not that common and like someone earlier said they have Super Hicas written on the side of the car in the trim strip.
