Early 90's MR2s came standard with manual steering, I don't even know if it was an option. It's there for driver assist and thats about it.

i drove my car after i got my sr in w/o ps for about 3 months and i used to drive my dad's toy pick up truck alot and it doesn't have ps.... it was alright for a lil while, u get a feel for the road but after time i got really tired of it and don't really like it...
i guess whether having ps or not is more of a preference....
