actually, the phantom grip isn't a real LSD conversion.  It works sort of opposite to how an LSD is supposed to work.  Instead of locking the diff when it senses uneven power distribution like a normal LSD, it locks the diff slightly untill enough eneven power distribution occurs to break the lock of the phantom grip.  Basically it just makes it harder to spin the output shafts at different speeds initially, which isn't too great for track/ normal/ street driving.
