no, you don't need a spring compressor.
you need spanner wrenches and your own 2 hands.
and you installed 2 front pairs of MR's? wtf? two fronts wouldn't bolt up to the rear uprights.

to adjust ride height, loosen the lower locking perch at the shock bracket, then twist the shock body (spring and all) to lower/raise the ride height.
