when i was talkin bout havin hiccups, i didnt mean havin to reset the router.
i am refering to not being able to maintain a consistent transfer that would result in failure
if i checked the logs, it would not say that conn has been reset nor would i d/c from server
the problem was that there is a min transfer rate setup and the dlink would fall below it for a split second, endin the transfer
i have all my comps WIRED and dhcp on
i returned it and got the netgear for 25$ cuz it was refurbished (hard to beat)
since then we switched from speakeasy sdsl to sbc pos dsl and im gettin the same problem every once and a while
i only reset my router when i have issues with my dsl
i miss havin a hub with static ips
btw ive had a maxtor go out - my ibm deathstar took it with it :hammer:
if u have an asus mb with the wifi port thats also an easy way to get an ap
