I had the LM-1, and I don't see how people run it everyday. In the instructions it has precise directions for giving the sensor power and letting it go through it calibration and all that. Then if your car runs like shit while you are tuning it, you never know if it is accurate because it gets restarted everytime your car dies. Not very daily driven in my eyes. I would look towards a few others that aren't so big.

Did you actually read the instructions? You don't have to cal it everytime you start the car. It's easily daily driveable.
EDIT: You're post just really confuses me. You don't even cal it while the car is running. You cal it in open air so it get's a known oxygen content for reference. It doesn't "restart" if the car dies either. Are you sure you actually had a LM-1?
