Yeah I've read that as long as you keep the actual unit hooked up, the heater element or something will keep the o2 sensor working for miles and miles. If you just leave the o2 sensor in there not hooked up to the lm-1 unit, your sensor will mess up (that's the word on the street/freshalloy)
