For just AC you don't have to go behind there at all. You can also leave those 2 nipples for the AC lines going into firewall untouched. Just remove the lines from them and you'll be left with 2 threaded ends coming out of firewall.
Thank gawd. My interior is so nice. I really hate to rip the dash out of a 16 year old car fearing it wouldn't go back in as nicely as it was.
