That's cuz he didn't just put a fender roller to the fender. He "unpeeled" the fender out from where it is folded into the wheel wheel. Then, with the extra material to work with, it looks like he's flaring it out further.

Which is totaly the wrong way to do it and it will always look like shit till he does it properly.
