you know... I've had friends tell me 240sx guys seem arrogant too. I think it just goes with the territory... penis replacement. every guy has to have a better car than everyone else and we just get primative, even draconian in our communication.
as for the F-body cars... yea, they are 3500lb monsters. But just to note, I heard to new Cobras have IRS and can really corner now. I think it's just the resource people put into their cars. Not too many guys buy pony's so they could go drift or grip somewhere, they enjoy speed. I'm just like you Tnord, I care more about the speed in which I go through a corner than in a straight line, so that's why I got the car I did. If I wanted pure speed tho, I would have gone for a mustang. A lot easier and cheaper to get a mustang into the 11's in a 1/4 than any japanese car. Just what people want.
