Yes the old style Quests have a knock and they are a bitch to change. Just mount your new knock sensor to one of the support brackets for the intake manifold. All it needs to do is pick up variances in the firing pulses of the engine.Anywhere on a piece of metal that is mounted on the block will work, but you ahve to place the sensor within 2 inches of the block.

EDIT: this is what he does when replacing one.
