i would take that whole manifold off and clean it out thoroughly. you are going to need to use some strong degreaser and/or intake cleaner. running a hose through it isn't going to get that gunk out.
don't forget to buy the gasket for the manifold.

yes all inside behind that little plate. degreaser eh, cool. i'll run to the store in a bit and buy some. i'm frustrated right now. i've never done this before. i need to learn but right i feel like it will never get done
