I found a K&N unit on ebay for $80. It was stainless, or painted chrome, and had a cone filter. It uses the stock routing, and places the filter in the same place. Not a true cai, but probably a nice for a few hp.
I hate the way the stock one is all square, and stupid looking. A custom one is probably easy, if you are handy at routing in the other lines along the intake track
