wow the misinformation represented by the last post boggles my mind. For starters, head over to sr20deforum.com and educate yourself on the topic of turbo charging the SR20DE motor. FWD B13 guys have been doing it for years with great results.
I agree, if the KA is running good leave it in, its an adequate motor for more than most people.
However if you want to build it up, its a great motor. Just like the KA, it just all boils down to your preference. To say the SR20DE is a bad choice to turbo because of its compression, and reliability, is just ignorant. Plus the SR20DE runs off the KA24DE harness just fine, so i fail to see the wiring "issues"
More importantly though, buy the 240 for 500 bucks. thats just a sound economical decision.
