Getting the cat off was a two day ordeal. originally i was going to keep the cat in (until turbo dp)to keep the noise level down. But once getting into it it seems the bolts have become one with the cat. a friend of mine just so happened to have a 240 3" resonated test pipe so to hell with the noise.
Once the oe exhaust was off and pulled out, install took less than 10 min.
I needed 2 more gaskets and 4 nuts/bolts only because of the test pipe install. other than that all hardware and gaskets came with the cat back from megan.
with the silencer in this thing sounds just BEARLY louder than oe.
silencer out it sound excellent. nothing like i was expecting. idle is quite, low rpm sounds very deep and muffled. around 4k+ it gets louder but not like the usual 3" on an NA racket. still deep with no rasp at all.
fit and finish is top notch. I like the huge resonator big can, and black silencer ( first ive seen )
the welds are all great and look to penetrate.
All in all this a great setup. esp for the money.
