Most coilovers system are underdamped if anything. If the valving of these coils are adequate for the 12/10 rates (which would really surprise me) then they should do just fine with the 10/8 rates. The only way they wouldnt work is if they are overdamped(which would really really really surprise me). In that case even the softest setting would be too much damping for the 10/8 springs (which is near impossible). Running with the 10/8 should be fine if not better.

I still like My Arms, Your Hearst the best, but Still Life is badass. I think it's still hard for people to get Still Life here in the US, unless you know where to look, no?
Anyways, 10/8 would probably be on the stiff side for the street, seeing as my car is a daily driver, and I'll probably only hit a few track events a year, and a drift event of two every few months.
I'd really like to go Silkroad RM/A8 with 8/6 spring rates, and Tanabe sway bars, but I cannot ignore how cheap the Megan coilovers are, and how everyone seem to love them...
