I took off the kickpanel and saw the ecu and that wire harness with the clip. I detached that and unscrewed the screw (on the bottom) and the screw that was attached to the bracket near the top.
It wont budge though. I think there is a bolt on the back that looks like a screw from the other side into a bolt. Does this need removed also? If not what am i missing cause that sucker will not come out.</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
I had the same problem too when I took mine out; I've got a 96 so I don't know if it's the same but there was a small plastic "plug" (I don't know what it's called) above the ECU. You just have to force it out but you have to be careful not to brake that plastic plug. I hope this helps.
