How did MTV (or I guess MTV2, which is what MTV used to be) fuck up? They have ALWAYS played whatever was popular. In the 80's it was sissy pop like depeche mode, George Michael, tears for fears, etc. Then when grunge was in they flooded the airwaves with that. Now that this stupid southern "Whaaat!!!! YEEEEAAAAHHH!!! Mike Jones!!!!" hip hop is popular, they seem to play that a lot now.
Don't blame MTV, blame America because MTV is only playing the crap people want to hear.
