Your wrong there. MvC2 is extremely technical because you need to play it for at least a year before you can even be called "decent". With the majority of Sf games, the play mechanics are very similar so it'll take maybe a couple of days to get used to the small differences in each series of game.
The Beauty of MvC2 is that you can't turtle. If you watch two people play CVS or any other type of SF traditional game in a tournament, they just sit on their respective sides and wait for the other person to do something.
