D1's grip harder initially because they operate in a lower temperature range than the B-force. They are a softer compound which allows the cooler temp range, but because of this, they wear out really fast. The B-force requires warming up, but even cold, still offers good braking.
D1's are only for the rear, meant to be used with e-brake techniques. Even so, the B-force is more than capable being used for the same purpose.
