Why not just wear your seat belt when daily driving?
If it's a street car and you're EVER going to be driving it in traffic without a helmet on, I'd suggest just getting a roll bar. There's too much risk associated with having thick steel bars inches from your head. What if you get side swiped? There's a great chance you're gonna split your mellon on your "safety" device.
