Some of the new engine control unit can do that, but not old Nissans. The ECU only provides very rudimentary engine control functions, which is a good thing because it keeps costs down and keeps thing simple to fix.

Modern cars have mini-processors that control even simple functions like lights (theatre-style dimming) and door locks (automatic locks when moving). It makes them nice to have, but also make them really expensive and complicated to fix when they do break down.
