anytime you have a starting problem, check your battery first. just because your accessories come on doesn't mean your batt has enough charge to start the car. it takes alot of power to spin the engine.
as for your drivetrain issues, it sounds like your clutch is not disengaging fully. first thing to try here is a flush and bleed, and adjust clutch play. if that doesn't work, look at getting a new slave and/or master.
however, driving around like that may have damaged shit inside your transmission. fix the clutch play issue first. then change out your transmission fluid. if it's still having issues, buy a used ka tranny and swap it in.
you didn't buy a lemon... these are issues many 240sx's have. just remember if your car has issues, and you continue to drive around on it, you're only going to break bigger stuff and end up spending more to fix it in the long run. in other words, if its something major, don't drive it until it's fixed.
