Hmmm.... proper way to test a fuel pump, that is a good one..... ummmm I am guessing you would need a FPR or some form of Fuel Pressure guage to really check if it is on the way out.... But maybe check your injectors too but putting an ohm meter to it (make sure to cool them down for 3 hours). Specs are in the FSM. That is easy too. Maybe check your battery while it under load, idle and when it is just plain turned off... Its not easy to diagnose your problem..... i dunno thought I would through some ideas out there cause no one was really replying....
