I'm using a Haltech E6K for my DET.  I choose it because of price, and the fact that it could directly drive the coils (only on S15 motors, S13-14 will still need the ignitor chip).  I'm satisified with it, but not thrilled.  The customer service has been bad, and the DOS-based software is cumbersome.  A month after I got mine installed, the communications went out and I can no longer get on-line with it to make changes.  Looks like I'm going to have to let them charge my credit card for a new one that they'll let me borrow while they fix mine.  All that aside, the performance seems fine, and the engine wiring harness was nice too.
