Hey all,

We went testing over  the weekend at Mid Ohio.  What a blast!  Friday was a lapping day so we got lots of time in.
Here what we learned.

1.  Need solid upper strut mounts.  I was trying to save some money by avoiding grounf control camber plates up front.  Looks like this is going to be absolutely neccsary.  Also need solid mount uppers in the rear as well.  There were rubber bushings  all the way around.  The car is sprung so stiff that the rubber was making the car bounce up and down under load.  I would touch a curb or if there was a suddenly weight change (keyhole, madness) the car would start bouncing up and down.  We took the rear shock apart and cut out one rubber bushing and replaced it with a stack of washers.  This corrected the problem in the rear somewhat, but exagurated the front.

2.  Will need more HP to contend with the 325's.  They are turning a bit over 200 hp in IT trim.  Gonna be tough to catch that.

3.  Rear subframe bushings?  Mine are stock, do replacing these make a big difference?

Soooo...  Anyone using "pillow mounts" or solid upper strut bearings?  If so what kind and how much.

Best lap: 1.48  (hopefully it will do 46's once we get it to stop bouncing around the track.)
