Tires don't run "narrow" or "wider." 235 is 235. The only difference is the sidewall construction. Some LOOK narrower just because of the sidewall construction. Take the Falken 512 for example vs the 912. Way different construction of sidewall type and the 512s look much narrower. Don't believe me? Go to their site and get the rolling diameter for the same size tire, just a 512 vs 912. You'll see they're within .1" of each other heightwise and section width.
