Finally picked up the ZF from my buddy and god damn a Miata trunk has never looked so big! I really don't understand why all transmissions aren't this small.
I was scrambling trying to get the motor in the car and running so I could do a burnout at our annual BBQ per tradition and in my haste I sealed everything up without putting the crank trigger wheel on, which sits just behind the front cover. Typical! I threw in the towel at that point. The engine looks pretty cool though. I kinda like the unpainted valve cover.
