If a machine shop is doing it all, call around and see if the one you are going to use already has a torque plate. The machine shop that did my SR block had an SR20 torque plate already and I had them set my ring gap, measure the piston to wall, and bore and hone with a torque plate since it worked out being cheaper than buying one.
