Reason I ask is my clock does not show time a lot as if the field is dead, but it randomly lights up with the wrong time, slower. I am looking at a new clock to replace it. Biggest issue is replacing the air bag bulb with a resistor

Yes, I think it's a #74 bulb? I haven't dove into my idiot lights yet all of them work... or I hope they do :/
You might search the forum and see about a different clock to replace yours or hit the marketplace and buy a new gauge cluster all around.
