That was on purpose, to show his "humanity."
I sincerely hope, with the utmost honesty, that he's in constant pain. He's a terrible human being who deserves all the suffering possible before his death. He is responsible for the civilians dying in the streets, he is responsible for the soldiers dying in trenches. He's responsible for disease and starvation, privation and injury. I hope he knows that hatred for him keeps some Ukrainians warm at night when his strikes have knocked out their power.
