Blah 2 seaters suck. Too short a wheelbase. Look in Japan, all the raced out Z32s are 2+2s.

Wrong. TTs are around 3200-3300. Nothing wrong with tthe weight. Most of it comes off. I know of one personally that has gone down to 2750. And still had weight to shed.
