The motor started blowing the dipstick out back in September at a track day. did a compression test when I got home and cylinder 3 was 60-70 psi lower than the other 7 cylinders. Kept driving it, beating on it, racing it, until finally the compression in that cylinder was down to about 30-35 psi.
I think I had known for sometime that a rebuild would be necessary at some point, so I had been sourcing a block and heads for a good while before the motor actually went out.
