check the grounding of the starter. there's a small little ground cable that goes from the motor to the body of the starter itself. i took mine off and roughed everything up with a dremel and that fixed all my starter issues. after that you could even try bolting a temporary ground straight into one of the starter bolts

otherwise it's gotta be battery or the (+) cable
