i know the USDM Nissan Pulsar's have a CA18DE in them and some of the negatives about a CA18DET are they are aged and high mileage. Out of curiosity, are the internals the same with the USDM CA18DE motors as the CA18DET?
No, the FWD motor does not have a crank girdle. Also, the pistons in the USDM ca18 were a higher compression ratio and did not have piston oil squirters. All the internal gaskets are the same though if you were looking to do a rebuild on a ca18det.
