Did you read the response's I wrote earlier in this thread? Yes its solid urethane with metal top and bottom plates, embedded in each end for the studs. Urethane tubes would trasmit the vibration of a stud running down the middle and would collapse under the pressure.
I said it earlier in the thread and I will restate. The durometer on these is high enough to equal a 9000lb tensile strength. you will not feel engine movement nor will your engine move hehehhehhe. I have tested a set in a car myself at this point and was very sastisfied with the lack of movement and the lack of vibration. I am using a version of these mounts, that we made for my RB powered Fastback, which is about to hit the road. Hopefully it will be running in time to bring it to the socal BBQ, in a week and a half.
As far as cracking urethane is not like FPR fiberglass. It has a certain amount of elasticity to it.
