240sx convension 2007
fuck this, the community has been missing a convention since 2002, which was the 1st and only successful event ever. There hasnt really been any good 240sx meets in a while since the days of socal240sx.org etc..
other planned national 240sx convensions of later years have failed due to geographical location. I think we need to have another one in socal. Whos with me on this? If anyone remembers the 2002 convenion, knows it was a great and fun event that spanned accross 3 days, first day was dine and gokarts, 2nd was the show at nissan headquaters, then 3rd day was a track day. Witht eh popularity of teh 240 now, it shouldnt be hard to set this up. Im down to help out.

This would be cool... I remember the socal240SX BBQ's... I guess everyone just got too busy???
I'd come down from NorCal for this if it went down.

i have tried to do this with 6 months of time but it doesnt work out that easily. (referring to the west coast regional event). at this moment in time theyre are hella cops searching for 240s and they kno what they are and what theyre lookin for. If there is a convention someone will do something stupid and everything will be ruined. geographical its really hard to find a place since u have to find a big lot, close to a track, and close to a hotel thats willing to compromise with u. a lot of people will say o yea ill go and this and that but they will flake. There was an attempt for the national convention in las vegas and you paid in advance, BUT due to lack of attendance that failed. It would be nice to have another national convention but it will most likely never happen again. o yea another thing, gas prices are ridiculous so i doubt anyone will be willing to drive that far

Sucks, 2002 was my very first meet. It's bittersweet since it was awsome but everything else since has been a letdown. The Eibach trip a while back and the Shine Street meets have been the only decent things since.

i guess in teh past, the community was much smaller, but most of the people back then where more dedicated and enthusiestic about it since i guess 240s werent as big as they where back then. i find the smaller meets to be borring, people show up and look at each otehrs cars, then leave.
The shinestreet meets where awesome, as well as the old socal240sx summer bbqs at mile square park in fountain valley.... ill check out other options tho if the 240 community is too small.. then maybe a all japan rwd sports car convention would be interesting
