I am going to have my mechinc adjust my valves, (My dad).  He says he needs nothing to do so, but I am sure there are specs and some does and don't and even some need to knows on this topic.  I am new to the forume so sorry if this question has been asked a million times.  If anyone has some notes, please let me know.  BTY: I heard about adjustmen Shimes and replacment of these.  Is this true?

There is no adjustment for our valves.  Your cams or shims will have to wear out of spec first, then you would have to buy shims of various widths.

Thanks for the info. &nbsp;It just confirms what we (my dad and I) have seen under the valve cover. &nbsp;SHIMES and they look ok. &nbsp;I found that specs on the hood say exuast and intake should be (.015) of an inch. &nbsp;We checked and we could not even fit the (.017) in. &nbsp;I did not have a .016 (got lost) but I was able to fit the (.015) in. So if a did need new shimes it would only be to fix an 1000th of an inch if at all. &nbsp;I guess my next question is, Would that 100th of an inch make a big differnce in perfermance? &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>
