i'm guessing this was released recently, or included with one of the blockbusters that came out, maybe Superman but i doubt it, but Spidey fans rejoice!

Despite all the denials that Venom will not be in the movie, lo and behold, we have the symbiote-costume and a blond Topher Grace. I don't think this movie will feature Venom, but will give way to a Spiderman v. Venom feature in Spiderman 4. There's already two villains in SM3, Sandman and Green Goblin, so putting in a third, one of the more popular villains in the comic, would be overkill, unless this movie is made like X3.

I remember reading that the director never really liked the Venom character at all, but i guess he was put under pressure to do it, so they'll have stories for two movies. Fan-service at it's utmost.

Hmm, I was under the impression (because I read an interview) that venom was going to be in this one.

I dont see any venom.. o was thinking, probably the movie is going to be the part where spiderman get the suit, at the end of the movie he will get rid of it, they may leave venom for the 4th movie =P

I think they should have left venom for the 4th one though.. Him and Carnage and only them for the fourth one.

That's more likely the case, but i would like to see 3 and 4 closer than 2 years apart! Since the storyline will be related; unlike the first 2 which didn't need any closure, but left openings for the next movies.

That fan-made trailer is sloppy but interesting.
I don't think Venom will be the main villain in Spiderman 3 but his origin will be dealt in a parallel plot leaving him to be the main villain of 4. Rumor was the Lizard was also making a cameo. I remember some prominent arcs where Venon and the Lizard battle... so who knows maybe the plot for 4? Regardless, the teaser looks amazing.
It will be attached to Superman Returns which is opening today.

Yup, looks like at the end of Spider Man 3, Parker rids of the symbiote and leads Eddy to getting it for the 4th.

he ( venom ) was originally credited, then removed, then put back in the movie according to IMDB ( my 2nd home other than zilvia )
Im thinking they re-instated him with maybe a smaller role, leaving room for the 4th

I can't wait for the movie to come out because Gwen Stacey is in it and Harry Osbourne becomes a villan. This movei will make my Amazing Spiderman #31 (first appearance of both characters) go through the roof.

in the trailor it looks like the main villian is sandman, but i thought it was going to be green goblin with osbourne's son under the mask. Hasn't the lizard made a appearance in a previous movie? not as lizard but the person.
they'll probly show venom for like a 10 seconds. is there any confirmation of a spidey 4?

IIRC toby maguire(sp?) & kirsten dunst are only under contract through the 3rd installment of the movie...I remember reading this in an article when part 2 came out, and they were talking about toby not doing part 2 b/c of some conflict w/the making of sea biscuit and his well known back prob...someone chime in if I am wrong...and as far as part 4 goes,if there's one, maybe it will be a spin off w/just venom though i don't see the point of that

They made an excellent casting choice for sandman. I wish they would have done as well with Eddie Brock.

I would have to agree that the central focus of the third movie will be Peter getting rid of the symbiote which would lead directly into a fourth movie.

How they putting Gwen Stacy in the story? It showed in the trailer some flyers but...hmm dont think thats gonna jive. Also, Venom kinda looked like spidermans body with the ALIEN head on it with out the biting tongue.

Harry becomes green goblin. i don't think he ever wore the hobgoblin mask. Hobgoblin was just random criminals and stuff i believe.

and i'm sure the symbiote is going to make parker cheat on mary jane with gwen or something of that nature.

Correct. Harry takes over the Green Goblin role after Norman Osborn's death. The Hobgoblin was actually 3 different men. The first found a secret hideout of Norman Osborn's with a spare Green Goblin suit and a cache of his weapons.

Hmm, the Spiderman storyline already kinda screwed things up by not mentioning Gwen Stacy before so it doesn't really matter how they write her in this time.

Yea, Peter was in love with Gwen Stacy before he met Mary Jane. I don't know why they would bring her in now. Hollywood can never make a decent comic book movie cause of mass appeal... everyone wants a good storyline but directors are so worried the audience won't understand it (Cause not all are into the comic book series) and ticket sales so its impossible to get it dead on :/ .. the spidey series is pretty good IMO i just wish they would have elaborated more with the OG characters IE: Gwen Stacy and pete's social life ect ect... im really exited to see what the new one will bring hopefully they do a good job on the symbioite part cause that comic owned and so did the fox series episode

Definately hope they bring in Venom and Carnage. But for some reason, that first trailor didnt do just to venom. It looked like they just slapped some shit together. But I do agree with everyone else, I think they will/should save Venom for the 4th if there is one.

As far as X3, that was my favorite all time comic. Wolverine and Sabertooth battles? Back to subject though. *a
